Growing up with a brother with a disability led Laura to a career working with people with disabilities. Even from a young age, Laura recognized the people who had a positive effect on her brother’s life.  Laura knew that she wanted to be one of these people who could make a difference. Laura graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  Her major was Developmental Disabilities and Habilitation.  While completing her final year of her undergraduate work, Laura completed an internship in transition at The Ability Center of Greater Toledo.  Upon graduating from college, Laura was employed with the Hancock County Board of DD, Blanchard Valley Center, where she started as a Community Employment Specialist.  After a year, she was promoted to Adult Service Facilitator. Laura also worked as Program Administrator for Self-Advocates of Indiana. She is currently doing consulting work for Norwich Consulting Services.
